World Match e LTA

The Authority has investigated on your behalf the matter you raised about Play Match Ltd.

On the evening of 7th January 2009 an anomaly in the Play Match Limited games led to a repetitive sequence of the same number coming out at the roulette consecutively or closely so in multiple spins. Such anomaly was noted by some players, with the result that the players placed bet amounts substantially higher than what was their usual with the knowledge and awareness that such bets would result in winnings, as in fact they did. The anomalous pattern in the game, as well as the awareness thereof and reaction of the players, is evidenced by the player activity logs (records of all your gaming activity on your player account).

Play Match Limited has provided information from an independent authority which provides sufficient information and evidence of their analysis of the functioning of the gaming system. The report produced concludes the Random Number Generator (RNG) was not functioning properly and this caused an anomaly in the game paying out incorrectly.

All players affected by this Software error were immediately notified by e-mail, of all the players affected your complaint is isolated no other players affected by this RNG error has lodged a complaint with the Lotteries and Gaming Authority.

The Remote Gaming Regulations 2004 (Legal Notice 176 of 2004 of the Lotteries and Other Games Act (ACT XXIV of 2001) which may be viewed www.lga.org.mt states the following:

Part X

Aborted and Miscarried Games

47. (1) A licensee shall take all reasonable steps to ensure that the licensee’s approved computer system enables a player whose participation in a game is, after he or she has made a wager, interrupted by a failure of the telecommunications system or a failure of the player’s computer system that prevents the player from continuing the game, to resume, on the restoration of the system, his or her participation in the game that was interrupted as at the time immediately before the interruption. (2) If a licensee’s computer does not enable a player to continue, after the restoration of the system, with a game interrupted by a failure of the telecommunications system or the player’s computer system, the licensee shall:

(a) ensure that the game is terminated<

(:verso: refund the amount of the wager to the player by placing it in the player’s account.

Play Match Limited have acted in accordance with the Legislative requirements of which they are licensed to operate therefore based on the above information the Authority is satisfied Play Match Ltd. has acted accordingly, the LGA complaint case is considered closed.

Yours sincerely

Ragazzi, lasciate perdere PlayMatch !
